The Contemporary Jewish Museum opened on June 8, 2008 in Yerba Buena, San Francisco’s cultural district. This amazing 63,000 square foot facility was designed by the renowned architect Daniel Libeskind and is a beautiful space to hold a private event.
Its Grand Lobby is a beautiful 5,000 square foot space which can hold up to 300 wedding guests for a seated catered dinner and 600 for a standing reception.
The Auditorium and Meeting Room is 3,300 square feet and can be used for a 250 person theater or a catered wedding reception, seated dinner for 300 or a cocktail party for 350.
The Special Events Gallery is 2,200 square feet and has a dramatic jewel shaped 60’ ceiling with 36 skylights. This is a unique setting for either a seated dinner for 150 or a reception for 200 guests.
The Contemporary Jewish Museum requires kosher style catering which prohibits the serving of any pork products and shellfish.
Global Gourmet Catering provides delicious kosher style menus to meet this requirement and is proud to be a preferred San Francisco wedding catering company for this amazing venue!
